Monica
Violin/Viola Instructor

Monica has served as a professional musician and music teacher for over 15 years. She earned her B.A. in Music Education from Seattle Pacific University, with
an emphasis on K-12 Instrumental Music Education.

She has been an orchestra director for the Issaquah School District, the Clark County School District (Las Vegas, NV), and directed the after-school music program at Our Lady of Grace School in Encino, CA. Her orchestra students have earned superior ratings at district festivals
consistently, and some of her private students have gone on to become professional musicians themselves and receive honors at solo/ensemble music festivals. As a professional violinist and violist, she has performed as a freelance musician for recordings, orchestras, and studio projects including one for the internationally renowned group The Manhattan Transfer. As a regular member of the Afro-American Chamber Music Society, which features rarely heard works by well-known African-

American and Latin American composers, Ms. Crusoe has performed as principal violist. She is also the featured violinist/violist on singer David Moni’s critically acclaimed CD “Love Deeply”, released in 2013. Monica's love for teaching is reflected in her teaching style of encouragement, patience, and pushing students to do their very best.
